පයිලින් සුළි කුණාටුවෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට බලපෑම - Cyclone Phailin hits Sri Lanka?

 දිවයිනේ ප්‍රදේශ රැසකට අද දිනයේ වැසි ඇතිවන බව කාලගුණ විද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පවසයි.

කෙසේවුවද පසුගිය දින කිහිපය තුළ බලපැ දැඩි වර්ෂා තත්ත්වය පහව යමින් පවතින බව එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සඳහන් කළේය. 

The very severe cyclone-PILINE is located about 1100km to the Northeast of Jaffna and moving towards India and is expected to enter Indian East coast tonight.

Though there is no direct effect to Sri-Lanka the winds over the island (particularly along the western slopes of the Central hills) and suburb sea areas can be strengthen at  times to times, the Met Department says. Heavy showers also can be expected in the southwestern parts of the island.
